Broker's Comments

Trawler style motor yachts have always been popular in the US and are becoming increasing more-so in the UK. Having spent some time aboard this Island Gypsy 36 I can see why. She has a classic look without too much of the classic maintenance, feels vast down below, has a lovely light spacious deck-level saloon and yet still has lots of space on deck too.

The flybridge enhances her lines rather than making her appear top heavy (as sometimes they do on motor cruisers of this length) and has seating as well as a helm position.

The current owner is only the second and he and his family have enjoyed the last 16 years of cruising her. She has been stored ashore in a shed every winter and annually serviced before relaunch each spring. She has just been relaunched for the summer season completely ready to go

Everything is there, from a lightweight RIB on the aft deck to crockery and cutlery in the galley. The electronics are all good quality and seen working however they may require updating depending upon preference.
The equivalent Grand Banks would cost you twice as much (if you can find a good one) and if you read the comparison reviews you might wonder why !
