The Bluewater 51 Coastal Cruiser is designed with a low center of gravity and low profile to reduce windage. The twin engine design permits good maneuvering and a tunnel hull design provides protection for the props and shafts. This has an additional interesting characteristic: with only 24 inches of draft the boat can be brought up to beaches for unloading and boarding in knee-deep water!

These boats are popular for use on large lakes, rivers, and for the America's Great Loop route cruising. For Puget Sound waters this allows the roomy vessel to tuck in to anchorages that typical boats of this size must avoid. The boat features midship side decks with high rails, a full beam salon, and a massive upper sun deck. The low freeboard allows for easy boarding amidship from a dock or from the aft swim platform. The generous space inside and easy boarding will benefit individuals with access challenges.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Broker's Comments

This Bluewater model would be similar to having a condo on the water. It would be a desirable situation for a couple or small family to live aboard. The inside spaces are commodious with lots of natural lighting from the many large windows. There are three sleeping cabins for privacy. A large saloon with a pellet stove provides seating for six or seven persons. There is a separate dining area and an inviting full galley. A wonderful feature is the outdoor space on the upper deck with a hot tub, seating and a cooking station as well as the partially enclosed upper helm with built-in bench seating. As far as the general interior description I would say -- consider it a blank canvas for your personal decorating choices. If that isn't enough here is essentially a floating home that can take you on a cruise.

Special note: This boat has been a live board in the same location for the past 10 years and there is a possibility that it could be for the next owner.

does the generator work or not? Is there AC if so how many units, and brand. If generator does not work, are they willing to fix it or place it?
