Broker's Comments

The Westerly Centaur is renowned for its robustness, deep cockpit, seaworthiness, handy bilge keels and is surprisingly roomy with good headroom. Many owners, who buy them as starter boats, never bother to change them as they are a good all rounder that take the test of time well.

When the current owners were looking to buy one of Westerly’s best selling models of all time, some 18 years ago now, they were swayed by the warm wooden interior of this particular example.

Built in 1978, this is one of the younger models and is looking pretty good for her age. Dry, clean & tidy down below, the owner tells me that the original engine (rebuilt twice) runs well and that they have added 2 self tailing sheet winches and a manual Simpson Lawrence windlass. Now laid up for the coming winter months, an external examination or survey is easy to organise.

Only selling due to poor health, the owners have priced her to sell and would like to see her go to a good home as soon as possible.
