Broker's Comments
AquaStar began life in 1967 as a workboat builder in the New Forest. They designed and built their boats to got to sea. Regularly found in commercial use as pilot boats, police launches and rescue craft they're well known for their strong construction, quality fit-out and kindly sea keeping abilities. And like the Nelsons, it was not too long before motorboaters began to appreciate their potential for serious offshore cruising.
This aft cabin version of the Ocean Ranger 38 provides great accommodation below, not just versatile and useable but extremely attractive too. Above decks she feels safe and solid with a layout which works well both on passage and alongside.
This particular boat was the 1987 Southampton Boat Show model and had the Volvo 306's which at the time of her construction were the most powerful engines Aquastar had ever fitted in a 38.
She's now been in the same ownership for the last 13 years and whilst she has been cruised most of her time her owner has run her as a committee boat and so she has always been in commission, well maintained and regularly serviced. She been re-upholstered in the saloon and looks clean and feels very dry and fresh below. If you are looking for a stylish and comfortable yet seamanlike cruising boat then please do consider her!
